Delegates from 13 countries will attend the second International Congress of Science and Educationwhich will be held from June 13 to 17 in Cuba, in virtual and face-to-face mode.
The president of the organizing committee, Silvia Navarro, declared that the event seeks to promote “the socialization of good pedagogical practices for collective learning”, as well as “solutions to educational problems from research”, points to a report of the Cuban News Agency (ACN).
More than 1,600 professionals from the sector will participate in the conclave, which will take place at the Center for Conventions and Events of the Ministry of Education, in Havana, a hundred of them foreigners, from nations such as China, Portugal, Angola, Mexico, Ecuador and Brazil, according to the source.
The event, according to its organizers, aims to “contribute to the development of a genuinely Latin American pedagogical thought” and “reinforce the link with various centers to contribute to the comprehensive training of students, together with the family and the community.”
The meeting, which was scheduled for 2020, but had to be postponed due to the pandemic, will have educational research on social transformation as a theme that will mainstream the sessions, said Lisset Valdés, president of its scientific program.
Valdés explained that at the meeting “a comprehensive look at the problems of the Cuban educational system and of other nations will prevail, based on the importance of education among the sustainable development objectives of the 2030 Agenda,” reports the ACN.
Similarly, in the courses of the Congress “the results of lines of research such as educational inclusion and attention to talent will also be systematized,” adds the news agency.
