From October 2 to 8, 1,117 new cases of covid-19 were registered, according to the weekly report prepared by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP). In that period, 6 people with covid died and the active cases -as of day 8- were 1,090. Since the coronavirus arrived in Uruguay, on March 13, 2020, 987,563 cases and 7,501 deaths with covid-19 have been reported. As of October 8, the total number of people admitted to the CTI with a positive SARS-COV-2 test is 15 people, reports the MSP.
