Covid-19: Brazil has 4,164 cases and 164 deaths in 24 hours

Brazil registered, in 24 hours, 4,164 new cases of covid-19 and 164 deaths, according to the bulletin released this Friday (24) by the Ministry of Health. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 22,230,737 cases and 618,392 deaths were registered. According to the bulletin, there are 81,222 cases under follow-up and 2,790 deaths under investigation, which means that the deaths need the test results to know if it is a consequence of covid-19.

In the bulletin released this Friday, seven states did not present updated data today: Bahia (number of cases), Ceará, Sergipe, Alagoas, Roraima, Acre (number of deaths) and Tocantins (number of cases and deaths).

States

São Paulo is the state that registers the highest number of cases (4,450,302) and deaths (155,095). In the number of cases, the state of the Southeast is followed by Minas Gerais (2.218,695) and Paraná (155.095).

Regarding deaths, the second and third states with the lowest number of deaths are Acre (1850) and Amapá (2015).
