Coronavirus in Uruguay: 1,205 new cases, six deaths and 110 patients in ICU

Uruguay registered this Sunday 1,205 new cases of coronavirus on a total of 6,021 tests, reported the National Emergency System (Sinae). The rate of positivity it was located in 20% although duplicate analyzes in some people (PCR and antigens) are also included.

What’s more, there were six deaths in the last 24 hours of patients with covid-19, who were between 60 and 96 years old. Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 2020, there have been 7,046 deaths diagnosed with the disease in Uruguay.

There are 13,605 active cases throughout the country and 110 people are in intensive care centers, according to the official report. Of the total number of positive cases that have the disease, 252 correspond to the health personnel.

Of the 1,205 new cases, 642 are from Montevideo, 195 from Canelones, 89 from Maldonado, 42 from Colonia, 34 from Lavalleja, 31 from Paysandú, 29 from San José, 22 from Artigas, 21 from Rivera, 20 from Rocha, 14 from Durazno, 12 from Cerro Largo, 12 from Flores, 11 from Salto, 9 from Treinta y Tres, 7 from Soriano, 6 from Tacuarembo, 5 from Florida and 4 from Río Negro.

All departments report infected people this Sunday, and Montevideo leads in number of assets.
