Cuba reported 22 infections due to the SARS-CoV-2 virus on the last day of June, according to the part that on the epidemiological situation issues today the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP).
Nine territories, including the Isla de la Juventud Special Municipality, reported infections, but only Havana, with seven cases, exceeded the figure of five patients in the last 24 hours, when 2,430 samples were processed. Matanzas follows in the highest number of cases, with five.
Of the infections, 16 correspond to contacts of confirmed cases and in four individuals the origin of the infection was located outside the country. In two the origin of the contagion had not been specified.

22 clinical discharges were notified and the number of people admitted as a result of COVID-19 closed with an increase to 315, while the confirmed active cases totaled 119. Two people remained bedridden in intensive care due to COVID-19, after several days without reports in these stadiums.
By age, the group made up of those under 20 years of age added nine patients; seven corresponded to the range between 20 and 39 years old, four to 40 to 59 years old and two to those over 60.
The fatalities of COVID-19 continue to number 8,529, according to health authorities.
