The agreement signed between Uruguay-Rosario (Argentina) seeks to promote specific trade relations and strengthen information exchange and training systems.
Another important axis are the measures that will be taken to facilitate the transshipment of passengers and cargo coming from the ports reached by the agreement, with destinations to the same or to third countries.
Joint work will also be done on initiatives of companies linked to the activity, as well as collaboration in the transfer of innovative technologies in the maritime and fluvial system, among others, according to the report of the National Ports Administration (ANP).
This Monday, April 24, an agreement was signed between the Uruguayan ports administered by the ANP and the Puerto Rosario Administrative Entity (ENAPRO), with the aim of carrying out actions that complement and promote port and commercial development. The signatures were carried out between Juan Curbelo, president of the ANP, and Guillermo Miguel, president of ENAPRO at the New Fluvial Terminal in the city of Rosario, Argentina.
The signing of the agreement was carried out within the framework of the laboratory – workshop “Dialogue for the development and integration of South American river transport” that brought together leaders and authorities linked to port activity in South America and in which topics such as trends , sustainability and regional situations of the countries participating in the forum: Uruguay, Argentina, Paraguay, Brazil and Bolivia.
