“Sooner or later they will have to lift sanctions against Conviasa,” predicted the constitutional president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro Moros, by announcing that despite the imperial blockade, the Venezuelan flag carrier will continue connecting international destinations, in its progressive growth and development in the world.
“We are going to continue strengthening Conviasa (…) and we will continue connecting as a region of peace,” he stated in his program With Mature+in its ninth edition.
He recalled that Conviasa was created by the Commander Hugo Chávez Fríasafter the governments of the fourth republic began the destruction of the old Viasa airlinewhich was privatized by the neoliberal right wing that governed Venezuela in the 20th century, when it was sold to Iberia so that this Spanish company could dismember it.
“Viasa had connections with the whole world, talking about Viasa was talking about the best airlines in the world. Iberia dismembered it together with the last governments of neoliberalism”, summarized the national president.

Now, Conviasa is a national pride that, due to its outstanding trajectory in favor of the mobility of Latin American and Caribbean people, was “sanctioned” by the United States government and its allies in the world.
“They will have to lift the sanctions, sooner rather than later, why sanction it? If what Conviasa does is transport passengers around the world?” Maduro said.
He said that, when it was “sanctioned”, his government supported the workers of the Venezuelan airline, and will continue this support over time.
“And I told them, we are going to strengthen Conviasa. We are achieving it ”, she asserted, affirming the advantageous agreements that were recently agreed with various governments around the world, including that of Barbados, whose prime minister, Mia Mottleywas received in Miraflores this week to strengthen ties with the Caribbean that allow the construction and integration dreamed of by The Liberator Simón Bolívar.
