The Congress Oversight Commission will investigate the reason why it is still standing for one year the supervision contract for the work of the Tarata Bridge, which to date has not been carried out, despite the fact that the Comptroller’s Office detected irregularities and, at the time, Provías Decentralizado, the executing unit of the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC), ex officio declared the nullity of the contract.
The case of tarata bridge is one of those who motivated the filing a constitutional complaint against Pedro Castillo by the prosecutor Patricia Benavides and evidenced the corruption in the TCM in the management of the fugitive ex-minister John Silva. This is one of the issues that the Minister of Transport will have to resolve, Paola Lazarte Castillo.
Control spokespersons assured The Republic what Subpoenas will be issued shortly to representatives of the MTC and Provías to explain the measures they have taken when the links of the Tarata Supervisory Consortium with the brothers became publicly known paspera Adrianzén and the company TERMIREX, a member of the consortium that was going to build the bridge, which according to reports from the Comptroller’s Office committed irregularities to gain supervision.
The consortium to set up its RUC in the jungle and earn the benefits of the Amazon Law, registered a false address in the province of Tocache. The Tarata Supervisory Consortium is made up of Dohwa Engineering CO. LTD. Branch of Peru and Carlos Fernández Casado SL Branch of Peru.
In January of this year, Provías Decentralized canceled the contract for the construction of the Tarata bridge, because the companies that competed were owned by the same owner. Despite the fact that it was made public that the representative of the supervisor, Jorge Romulo Contreras Montoyahas ties to the Pasapera Adrianzén brothers and the TERMIREX company, a member of the consortium that was going to build the bridge —according to the MTC—, the competent inspection body found no reason to terminate the supervision contract.
In the Control Commission advanced to the Republic that they consider suspicious that, despite the existence of a Comptroller’s report made in October, and which reveals irregularities, Provías Decentralized does not carry out the corrective actions that the document demands and does not resolve the contract, which is why they will investigate the case, they reported unofficially.
