One dead policeman and two wounded were the initial balance of a confrontation that occurred on Monday afternoon-night in Mariara, Carabobo, according to data obtained from security agencies.
The scuffle occurred in the Las Brisas de Mariara sector where Carabobo state police officers attended. Members of the Los Guaricheros criminal group were at the scene, who began an exchange of fire with the uniformed men.
Officer Irvin Guevara died as a result of the shooting. While the injured are identified as José Gregorio Riera (33) and Gabriel Briceño (38), both with arm injuries.
