The community of Conchillas celebrates the creation of a municipality in the next municipal elections of 2025, the same vote was obtained in the Departmental Board for the town of Cufré.
Conchillas in 15 days had gathered “350 signatures asking the mayor of Colonia for his training. Carlos Moreira raised the initiative to the Departmental Legislature and had the vote of all the benches so that Conchillas and Cufré have their third level of government.
In this way, the department will have 13 municipalities as of the next government period.
