The conflict, it was explained, takes place in two Conaprole industrial complexesin the Montevideo Industrial Complex (CIM) and in the plant located in Rodríguez, San José.
Some time ago, it was stated, Conaprole and AOEC began a process of conversations in order to review the technological updates, categories and other aspects of the CIM and at the Rodríguez plant.
Although Conaprole was not obliged to install the scope of negotiation, since a collective agreement is in forcethe same was installed and the cooperative made different proposals for improvements, which were not accepted by the workerswho raised a salary increase of around 40%in order to achieve salaries that today are well above the labor market average, the sources indicated.
In that scenario, A few days ago, the AOEC communicated the aforementioned union measures, which led to a new attempt to resume the talks, Conaprole and the Uruguayan Chamber of the Dairy Industry (CILU) requesting the summons to the Salary Council of the sector and full compliance with conflict prevention mechanismswhich imply the immediate lifting of any union measure.
However, the AOEC maintained the measuresonce again failing to comply with the signed agreements, Conaprole pointed out.
It was added to that that, although the Ministry of Labor and Social Security (MTSS) urged compliance with the conflict prevention mechanisms in the sectorthe AOEC has increased union action.
