Colonia joins the Sembrando program

On this day, the mayor of Colonia Carlos Moreira will participate in the Executive Tower auditorium for the signing of the contracts for the “Sembrando Nuestra Huerta” program, which will be attended by the President of the Republic, Luis Lacalle Pou, and the promoter of the Sembrando program. “Sembrando Nuestra Huerta” is a national program that arises with the intention of promoting awareness of cultivation and self-management of healthy food, making use of common spaces and favoring citizen participation. The Planning and Budget Office participates in the same and finances the projects with the support of the Intendances and the Municipalities where they will be executed. On this occasion, the municipalities of Nueva Palmira, Nueva Helvecia, Rosario and Florencio Sánchez, who will be represented by their respective mayors, will sign their contracts. The Colonia Mayor’s Office, through the Promotion and Development Directorate, has been collaborating with technical support and training in the Municipalities where this program is already being worked on.
