During 2022 the container collection program used in agricultural activity achieved a new record, approaching 2,000 tons.
That value means a 24% growth compared to 2021 (1,899 tons out of 1,532 tons).
Based on data from Campo Limpio, an empty container management program, last year 123 tons of cardboard, 616 tons of plastic wrap, 762 tons of phytosanitary drums, 340 tons of silo bags and 58 tons of other waste.
Growth occurred in all managed waste (containers and boxes of agrochemicals, bags/bags of fertilizers and silobags).
In 2022, in another sign of growth for Campo Limpio, those located in Colonia Valdense and Ombúes de Lavalle were added to the network of collection centers, therefore there are 21 active collections.
Different companies that acquire the result of processed plastic manufacture products that in several cases return to the fieldwith different uses, for example, spikes for wire fences, drinking troughs for animals, water reserve tanks and furniture such as tables and chairs.
A relevant destination for products made from recycled plastic are rural schools.
Obsolete Management
In November 2022 an agreement was reached with the only local company authorized in the country to incinerate obsolete agrochemical products. The plan is already operational and to date some 3,000 liters/kg of agrochemicals have been incinerated.
Producers who have obsolete must coordinate the indicated management with Campo Limpio, through the email [email protected] or by calling 2925 4539.
