Cinta Costera III- Amador Causeway has 50%, Comptroller can start disbursement of first paymentfr

After an inspection of the Cinta Costera III-Amador Causeway Interconnection Project, the Comptroller of the Republic Gerardo Solís revealed that it is already 50% complete.
Solís said that at this rate the work is expected to be completed in the first half of 2023.

The concept of the new infrastructure consists of generating a new entrance and exit of the Amador Causeway with a dimension of 1,561 km2

During the tour, the Comptroller explained that part of the “Culture of Correction” of the Comptroller establishes the periodic review “every month” of the progress reports of the project through the Engineering Department.

“We are doing a review and we confirm that it has advanced by 50%. This work is financed without any outlay, does not have an advance and is paid when the work registers 50% advance. This is part of the “Culture of Correction” promoted by the Comptroller to guarantee that the State works are done well, at a fair and reasonable price, complying with all the requirements of the contract,” Solís said.

This progress means that the comptroller can start disbursing payments to the contractor.

The project contemplates the construction of a bridge, a bicycle lane, sidewalks, green and recreational areas. The work arises from a Tourist Council and is part of the first turnkey projects carried out by this government.
