The Bolivian Football Federation (FBF) faces a persistent challenge financial due to the shortage of dollars in the country, which continues to limit its banking transactions internationally.

The situation has become even more pressing after the imposition of limits by banking entities to financial movements abroad.

As a temporary solution, the president of the FBF, Fernando Costa, was forced a month ago to use funds from his personal account to cover the expenses of the selection during the friendlies played in Algeria.

At that time, financial restrictions They prevented transfers from Boliviaand attempts to pay with personal cards were unsuccessful due to their rejection.

Despite this setback, the federation continues to face similar difficulties in the run-up to the next friendly against Mexico at the end of May, as well as in the imminent participation in the Copa América in the United States.

Carlos Pino, selection coordinator nationals of the FBF, explained that a mechanism is being studied to overcome these financial limitations.

“We have already asked the president of the FBF for help, since the topic is beyond my area and the financial one. He (Costa) is trying to find a solution so that the funds transferred by Conmebol can be kept in a reserve and from there they can be transferred,” Pino stated.
