The general director of the Corps of Scientific, Penal and Criminal Investigations (CICPC), Douglas Rico, reported this Sunday on the arrest of a man who usurped functions as a dentist, in Caracas.
Through his account on the social network Instagram, Rico explained that officials from the Division of Investigations of Crimes Against Public Health, made the arrest of the citizen identified as Francisco Antonio Rivas Pérez, 63 years old, who without having the due academic training illegally practiced dentistry, causing injuries to those who came to his office for his attention.
Rivas as a result of his illegal activity, has a request by the Ninth Court of the Public Ministry, for Serious Injuries, motivated by medical malpractice.
The director of the scientific police reported that when he was arrested in the Bellas Artes urbanization, in the Candelaria parish, in Caracas, “dentistry instruments and materials, a seal and a gown were found as evidence.”
The subject remained at the disposal of the Prosecutor’s Office number 23 of the Public Ministry of the Metropolitan Area of Caracas.
