Choquehuanca challenges the MAS and insists on its political training courses in the Vice Presidency

This Friday, just arrived from Argentina the Vice President, David Choquehuanca, received the official request from young people from the north of La Paz to inaugurate a political training school; In this way, the second president challenged the MAS leadership that this week asked him to stop that political activity.

“We ask the Vice President the inauguration of a new school for leaders in the north of La Paz, as well as the implementation of the Youth House with a library for the training of young people. We have to train ourselves well in the organizational, trade union, political, economic and cultural aspects”, explained Wilmer Pari, secretary of Intercultural Youth of La Paz, through a press release from the Vice Presidency.

On Wednesday, June 22, the MAS called all its departmental leaders to an expanded emergency meeting in the city of Cochabamba. In that event, the masista leadership decided to ask the second president to stop using the offices of the Vice Presidency for political activities and that is dedicated to carrying out government management.

This Friday, that resolution had its answer, because Choquehuanca not only met and agreed to establish a school for political training in the north of the department, but instead received a group of peasants from the north of Potosí who also asked for political training.

For those reasons, relations between Choquehuanca and the MAS seem hopelessly distant because the Vice President will continue in the activities that he develops in different departments.

The group of young people who arrived in La Paz highlighted the work that Choquehuanca has been developing in strengthening political cadres, “with his experience and guidance that he gives us to the youth”, highlighted his representative.

The expanded MAS also resolved to demand “respect” for the party statute and warned to prosecute all militants who disregard this document. According to the records of the Supreme Electoral Tribunal (TSE), both the President, Luis Arce, and the Vice President, David Choquehuanca, they are MAS militants and have an accredited registration.
