Children's choir of the Philharmonic paid tribute to children who died after the attack in Ciudad Bolívar

A emotional tribute was made in the last hours in the Arborizadora Alta neighborhood in the town of Ciudad Bolívar in Bogotá, one week after the attack on the CAI in that area of the city, which left two children aged 12 and five dead, in addition to several wounded.

More than 40 girls and boys from the Bogota Philharmonic choir accompanied the acts that were held in that area of the city, in addition to a Eucharist attended by the inhabitants and relatives of the victims of these events.

In the midst of these activities, RCN World talked with Gloria Buitrago, mother of Daniel Duque, one of the minors who died in these events, He said that he is devastated and that on the day of the attack on his son, no one helped him.

“We are in a duel where people think that we have no feelings, people saying that the child was helped when that is a big lie. We arrived, the child was alone lying on the platform, people dedicated themselves to recording and gossiping. The boy was not helped,” he noted.

The woman said that “People don’t know how much pain we’re feeling for them to make comments like, Where was the mom? Well, I was waiting for my son.”

The woman called on the Government to reinforce security in the area and extended her call to the FARC dissidents and the other armed groups, so that peace can be achieved in Colombia.

“More security for everyone because what happened was perhaps a warning (…) and I tell the terrorists to touch their hearts, to stop the war, for there to be peace,” said Mrs. Gloria Buitrago.

The activity was carried out with white roses, candles, a Eucharist and a minute of silence for the death of minors. According to the first investigations, the responsibility for the CAI attack is attributed to one of the FARC dissident fronts that commit crimes in Catatumbo and Venezuela, commanded by alias ‘John Mechas’.

Precisely, a reward of up to 5,000 million pesos and 5,000,000 dollars was offered for information that helps to find the whereabouts of this guerrilla.
