The first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (Psuv), Diosdado Cabello, reported that this Tuesday a group of foreign mercenaries was dismantled.
“At this moment we have just dismantled a very dangerous group of foreign mercenaries from the United States and Colombia with Venezuelan sectors, very close to the drunks, the cowards, those who left. Demonstrated in his plans.”
Cabello offered these statements in the state of Portuguesa, during the ceremony to hand over equipment to the security forces of that entity.
“We have a million people, equipment, disposition, morale and dignity,” said Cabello, commenting that the country’s revolutionary forces are obliged to prepare to deliver a great defeat to fascism, if it were to try to fill the country with violence. Venezuela.
Likewise, he indicated that through the popular-military-police fusion the plans for aggression against the country will be faced.
“We must not fall for anyone’s provocations, we are winning this game. We Chavistas are in the streets, the popular-military-police fusion is extremely efficient,” he stated.
“We are facing enemies of the country, fascists who have consecutively not only called for terrorist acts, but have also carried out terrorist acts. “They have believed that through force they can do what they have not been able to do through votes.”
He criticized the recent statements by spokespersons for the United States Government who say they are concerned about Venezuelans, and in this regard he assured that what they are concerned about is the wealth of Venezuela.
Given the threats of attacks, he expressed “we are waiting for you on the way down.”
“Some criminal thieves and crooks come to say that they are coming to accompany us, that they come, that we are going to wait for them here,” he stressed when referring to the supposed arrival of Edmundo González to the country accompanied by former right-wing presidents.
He highlighted that on January 10, the people of Venezuela, in perfect popular-military-police fusion, will accompany the swearing-in of President Nicolás Maduro.
Mercenaries
The dismantling of this new group of mercenaries adds to that announced on Monday by Cabello, in which More than 120 mercenaries from different nationalities were arrested for their links to far-right terrorist plans.
The mercenaries, Cabello said on Monday, “have been talking, declaring, pointing out the plans they have, establishing where the financing comes from, which comes from drug trafficking and Colombian drug paramilitarism.”
In October 2024, Hair reported the capture of a group of 19 foreign mercenaries, with knowledge in various areas to commit actions that harm the country.
Likewise, last September, he reported the arrest of 14 mercenaries linked to a plan to commit terrorist actions.
