Cabello describes Juanes as “immoral” and assures that he is financed by “drug trafficking”

The first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, described this Wednesday, August 17, the Colombian singer Juanes as “immoral” for offering a concert in Caracas, after his participation in the “Aid Live Venezuela” that was held in the border, in February 2019; to promote the entry of humanitarian aid into the country.

“You are a supreme immoral. You are a great immoral! You come for the money, after saying that you were not coming to Venezuela, that you sang at a concert where Venezuela was going to be invaded. Which Venezuelans do you love? Very immoral,” said Cabello, on his program Con el Mazo Dando, after reading the Colombian singer’s tweet announcing his presentation on November 4 at the CCCT.

According to the Chavista leader, the artist is a relative of former Colombian President Álvaro Uribe, although he did not show evidence of this; he also said that his musical career was financed by “drug trafficking”.

«Juanes is Uribe’s nephew, so you know. That is why he has a black soul (…) Uribe was the first godfather he had in his musical career. If Uribe was his godfather, drug trafficking was behind his musical career », he assured.

“Juanes, I’m going to tell you something, the president here is still Nicolás Maduro, the same one who, according to you, did not let you enter Venezuela,” warned Cabello to the interpreter from Medellín.

Lastly, Chavismo’s number two threatened to find out who will be at Juanes’ presentation in Caracas.

“I have my cooperating patriots who are going to be there (at the concert) to see who are those who are in the front row applauding (…) Those who are in the front row, in the VIP area, I will see them, rest assured that I will know Who are they?” he warned.

Juanes and Venezuela

Juan Esteban Aristizábal, known by his stage name, Juanes, is one of the Latin American artists who has spoken on several occasions about the actions of the governments of the late former president Hugo Chávez and Nicolás Maduro. In 2008 he organized the first concert peace without borders, after the diplomatic crisis between Colombia, Ecuador and Venezuela; by Operation Phoenix. The second recital was in 2009 at the Plaza de la Revolución in Cuba.

In 2015, he criticized Maduro’s measure of closing the passage to Colombia and deporting more than a thousand Colombians, who according to what remained in the country without the established permits and documents. And in 2019 he participated in “Aid Live Venezuela” and supported the entry of humanitarian aid.
