Cabello assures that the Law for NGOs “will end anarchy and disorder”

Diosdado Cabello defended the Bill for the Control, Update and Financing of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) that operate in the country.

During the transmission of his program Con el Mazo Dando, the first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) and deputy to the National Assembly, dismissed the accusations against this Law after it was presented and approved in the first plenary discussion of the National Assembly.

“They made a scandal over the presentation of the draft law that was made last Monday before the National Assembly on this matter, but who made a scandal? Well, those who know that NGOs have been used by the US as a mechanism for financing activities for subversion, destabilization, persecution against governments that are not related to them, “he said.

“NGOs are a whole structure of conspiracy against those who are not related to the US government and imperialism in general,” he emphasized for what he considered that the application of legislation that allows the regulation of these organizations “cannot wait any longer.”

Referring to some organizations that wear this figure, he argued that some carry out political activities that he recalled are not part of the functions that NGOs have in the world.

“NGOs are social initiatives with humanitarian purposes, not what they do here. Provea is not an NGO, it is a political organization just like Súmate. Now, who finances them? That is what we want to know, and it is not because we want to, but because the constitution requires it,” she explained.

He asked NGOs “that truly fulfill humanitarian functions” not to fall into what he described as a “campaign aimed at misinforming.”

“Here we are not going to eliminate the NGOs, no, what we are going to do is regulate that they all fulfill their true function and I tell those who are out there screaming; anarchy and disorder are over, ”she sentenced.

Rosales and Capriles in competition

Cabello also reiterated his statement that there will be no primary elections within the opposition to define an opposition candidate for the presidential elections to be held in 2024.

«There are two left for consensus, forget about primaries. They can make a simulation, but in the end the gringos call. There are two left and I am going to say the names: Chatarrita (Henrique Capriles Radonski) and (Manuel) Rosales remain, they are the ones left at this time,” he asserted.

He affirmed that María Corina Machado has been ruled out under the internal allegation among opponents that “she has problems.”
