Between tears and lamentations, the remains of broadcaster Manuel Taveras Duncan were buried this Saturday at the Puerta del Cielo Cemetery, shot to death early Friday by the former president of the General Directorate of Drug Control (DNCD), retired Rear Admiral Félix Alburquerque Comprés.
Taveras Duncan left three children in the orphanage. His burial occurred at 4:00 in the afternoon.
During the wake at the Blandino funeral home on Abraham Lincoln Avenue, several friends of the communicator who worked for the Lions of the Chosen team lamented his death and defined him as an affable and friendly person.
Various personalities linked to sports and the media came to offer their condolences to the relatives of Taveras Duncan.

The announcer was shot to death by Alburquerque Comprés after an alleged argument while both were shopping at the Rico Hotdog fast food business located on Rómulo Betancourt Avenue on the corner of Núñez de Cáceres.
He had been an animator for the transmission chain of the games of the Lions of the Chosen.
He was currently CEO of Daiskep Consulting Agencia BTL, an advertising agency and event organizer.
He worked as a presenter in several television programs. He was a model and actor. He worked in the local television series “Exesposos, neighbors and rivals” that was broadcast on Antena 7 between 2010 and 2011, where he acted alongside Mía Taveras, Javier Grullón and Raeldo López, among others.
