Bombardier and Bacis workers decide to remain in the Mining Union

Workers from sections 200 and 330 of the National Union of Mining, Metallurgical, Steel and Similar Workers of the Mexican Republic, of the companies Bombardier Transportation and Grupo Minero Bacis, located in Hidalgo and Durango, respectively, carried out the process of legitimizing their respective collective contracts (CCT) and voted overwhelmingly to remain in the union headed by Napoleón Gómez Urrutia.

The different consultations were carried out by personal, free, secret and direct vote; In the case of the Bombardier company, which is dedicated to the construction of railway cars and diesel locomotives, 98 percent of the workers decided to ratify their working conditions and their trust in the National Mining Union.

In compliance with the provisions established in the new labor reform, the consultation was held on September 23 at the firm located in Tepeapulco, Hidalgo, while the process at the Bacis mining company, which stands out for its gold and silver production, It was held on the 27th of the same month.

The unionized miners of section 330, in Durango, decided that the Mining Union maintain ownership of the CCT, since 99 percent of the votes were in favor of endorsing the document.

Both the consultations and the results were endorsed by verifiers from the Federal Conciliation and Labor Registry Center (CFCRL), the mining union said in a statement.

Workers from both sections also recognized the efforts of Senator Gómez Urrutia, who has always fought to win better wages and benefits, thereby representing a better standard of living for workers and their families.
