The deputy to the Legislative Council of the State of Bolívar (CLEB) Hendryck Martinez He denounced that precautionary measures were imposed on 16 workers of the Siderúrgica del Orinoco (Sidor) for demanding receipts of their payments from the managers of the state company, for which, in his opinion, the protest is being criminalized.
Martínez questioned the application of the laws in Venezuela and the abuses that the workers of the basic companies experience, explaining that the Justice should have been to protect the citizens who seek to have their rights respected and not those who did not deliver the receipts that were being requested.
He warned that the workers currently distrust the Single Union of Workers of the Steel and Similar Industries (Sutiss) because, in his opinion, it has behaved as an organization that is more akin to the official line than to the defense of the workers’ benefits. .

The complaint is based on the fact that at least 70% of the workers of the basic companies remain disabled after the pandemic, a time in which the directive branded a large working mass as “not required”.
