The president of the Chamber of Deputies, Sergio Massa, affirmed that “Blood flows through the veins and the heart” of the province of Buenos Aires with the reactivation of the railway system, after this Friday a passenger train circulated again between the Buenos Aires cities of Bragado and Pehuajóafter five years of absence.

In this way, the head of Deputies highlighted the work carried out by the Ministry of Transport and by Argentine Trains in carrying out the reactivation of the long-distance service of the Sarmiento line that will extend its route from the town of Bragado to Pehuajó, reactivating stops in July 9 and Carlos Casares.

This Friday, with the presence of national authorities, the white march of the passenger service of the Sarmiento line was carried out, which will connect, after 7 years, the Once station with the city of Pehuajó, recovering the intermediate stations of July 9 and Carlos Casares, and directly benefiting the residents of the region.
The Once-Pehuajó branch -whose service will begin operating on August 5- will stop at the following stations: Once, Haedo, Luján, Mercedes, Suipacha, Chivilcoy, A. Vaccarezza, Mechita, Bragado and will add the stations of July 9, Carlos Casares and Pehuajo.
The return of the train to Pehuajó benefits 4,000 passengers monthlyand it was possible thanks to the work carried out by Trenes Argentinos to extend the service and which included tasks of weeding, supervision of tracks and adaptation of buildings, sanitation and lighting in the stations of the three cities.
