He explained that the tax authorities will work with the banks, mainly with those who are interested in supporting small and medium-sized companies.
To see the potential that banking has with these productive units, he announced that in 2018 only 14.6% of microenterprises had financing.
He added that the main factor for which the institutions rejected their support was the lack of credit history.
“It is important that companies that need financing can access it when they need it most, opening opportunities for them to increase their productivity, their technological innovation and a greater economic recovery,” the official explained.
Ramírez de la O explained that Mexico is in a solid position economically despite the global adversities caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
He highlighted the strengths of public finances, debt management and the soundness of the financial system.
These elements make the country one of the most attractive destinations for investment, he added.
