Banco de Venezuela says it has financed 4,760 entrepreneurs for $10 million

During the “work day to show the progress of the entrepreneurial engine,” Nicolás Maduro called on the presidents of private banks to expand the credit portfolio for entrepreneurs. Maduro delivered a harangue to repudiate what he considered to be attempted robberies carried out from abroad against Venezuelan property. “The gold, they are stealing from us in a shameless and outrageous way in London”

The president of the Bank of Venezuela, Román Maniglia, stated on the afternoon of this Wednesday, August 3, that since Nicolás Maduro began with the credit plan for entrepreneurship, that institution has granted a total of “58 million bolívares, about 10 million dollars» to 4,760 entrepreneurs throughout the country.

Maniglia received a television pass from Maduro to La Guaira, from where he reported that they were delivering another “213 financing for six million bolivars, equivalent to more than one million dollars.”

Maniglia was accompanied by Governor José Alejandro Terán at the “Jorge Luis García Carneiro” baseball stadium, baptized with the name of the deceased regional president.

Maduro claimed that with his policies to promote entrepreneurship, his government has supported a total of 318,198 enterprises, of which 60% are women and another 60% are people between 26 and 45 years of age.

In this context, Nicolás Maduro delivered a harangue to repudiate what he considered to be attempted robberies carried out from abroad against Venezuelan property.

“The gold, they are stealing from us in a shameless and outrageous way in London. The operation of kidnapping and theft of Venezuelan gold in the Bank of England, we are fighting there, but Venezuela must know that this is an act of piracy and theft. The whole world must know that there is no legal certainty in London or in the Bank of England, any country can have its gold reserves stolen, that gold belongs to the Central Bank of Venezuela and to all Venezuelans. We are going to continue fighting, but in the meantime, we are not sitting idly by.”

In the same way, Maduro accused that “by order of an imperial court of the state of Florida” “they intend to steal a plane legally owned by Venezuela” in reference to the Emtrasur-Conviasa aircraft that has been held in Buenos Aires since the first week of June.

“That plane carries humanitarian aid to Caribbean and African countries, it is with which we bring medicines from China. Russia, India. He is kidnapped. We ask for solidarity; with indignation I protest and defend the interests of our beloved Venezuela,».

Next, he stressed that due to these circumstances of international threats, “I do not lose the objective of growing with my own effort and work: Venezuela achieves real growth in the first semester and a projection of 2022 like a rocket.”

Maduro also mentioned the case of the PDVSA subsidiary, Citgo, as an asset in danger of being appropriated, but did not identify who he accuses.

Entrepreneurship is the key

«They are going to be crazy with what economic activity is going to be. 2022 is going to be a year of progress in a new internal economic order,” said the president, who announced that the Christmas season will start on October 1 in Venezuela.

The mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez, in another television pass, introduced the presentation of the “special zone for digital entrepreneurship” of the Bank of Venezuela where those who need banking help will have facilities. Melendez was accompanied by

Head of Government of Caracas and Vice President of Mobilization and Events of the PSUV Nahum Fernandezat the launch of engine number 18.

An entrepreneur named Joel, very nervous, explained to Maduro what his business consists of.

“My business is dressing. My wife and I make it for sausages for the sectors where we live. We started with a soup. People asked about the taste of the soup and I told my wife: we are going to give customers that recipe. And people are very happy because they are eating very tasty. President, we recommend those sausages that we are selling on January 23 ».

The governor of La Guaira, José Alejandro Terán, stated that “10% of the families in this state have emerged from the family economy. We started to give workshops, we have 3,547 digital economy workshops”, because now business is done through social networks with home delivery, Terán justified.

He assured that they have “459 entrepreneurs from La Guaira registered, of which 1,032 have received financing from the State (subsidies or credits)”.
