The ensemble, which has been named after its founder and director for three decades, invites you to enjoy the show Lizt Alfonso Dance Cuba on Stagewhich will be shown on the stages of the Avellaneda Hall of the National Theater and the Martí Theater, according to a report from the agency Latin Press (PL).
The functions will be the first two weekends of December with a program in which a preview of the piece stands out. Havana Phoenixwhose premiere will arrive in 2023.
Among the special moments of the staging, the jubilee for the 30th anniversary of the creation of the school sponsored by the company also stands out, with the participation of the Children’s and Youth Ballet and the accompaniment of the company’s musical group with the singer Geidy Chapman.
With their new presentations, a period marked by the European tour that included presentations in Germany (Deutsches Theater, Munich), Italy (Nervi International Ballet Festival) and Spain (Veranos De la Villa, in Madrid) closes.
Among the milestones for the group this year are the passage of its Children’s Ballet through the 22nd edition of the Concert of Lights at the emblematic Waldbühne in Berlin, one of the most significant in Germany, together with the band Rumpestil.
For PL, the company exhibits an impressive artistic endorsement, multiple recognitions and great popularity inside and outside the national borders. In addition, it maintains Talleres Vocaciones and the children’s and youth ballets as a strategy to guarantee the future of the company.
In its repertoire, the Company includes works that fuse contemporary ballet, flamenco, Cuban and Afro-Cuban popular dances, among other genres, for which it has been invited to participate in international festivals.
