SANTIAGO. A psychiatrist from this city warned that crime and violence should be approached from a sociological point of view and mental health in general, although he assures that there may be causes in the family, social environment or within the State.
Dr. Francisco Ángeles said that only with the power of hope and faith can crime and violence be defeated without forgetting that these are generators of anxiety, depression and stress and where the family, justice and the State must intervene because they are the entities called to regularize the injustices that lead to committing such acts.
The specialist in Psychiatry and Geriatrics, Complutense University, when analyzing violence and crime, maintains that currently, both in the media and in general there are many statements related to the subject, but those who want to know more should take Sigmund Freud.

He recalled that Freud is the most prolific of the philosophers of human behavior to the point that he is considered the father of modern Psychology and Psychiatry and especially for being the founder of Psychoanalysis, who studied the subject in depth due to living in a hostile environment. .
“Let us remember that no one like him has studied human behavior from a scientific perspective, being able to penetrate the highest and lowest social strata of any society between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.”
Delving into the subject, Francisco Angeles, also a psychologist, points out that crime is more than everything related to criminal actions and the individuals who commit them, known as criminals, so it is also the act of committing a crime. crime o Number or proportion of crimes committed in a given place or period of time.
He assures that one of the causes of delinquency are biological, genetic or social factors, which Nicolás Caparrós describes with great mastery in his book “Crisis de la familia” in the editorial Fundamentals of the Psychological Series in 1977, Madrid, in which describes, like Sigmund Freud, that there has been an “amnesia of the infantile” in behavior analysis, which took years to discover the unconscious psyche of the world of children compared to that of the adult.
He explains that those who continued the studies of Sigmund Freud, especially in England, observed the object relationship of the human being from birth without being able to understand why it lasted so many years without reaching the foundation of the individual’s unconscious and the oppression that each human being and the production processes and the social, economic and political classes acted with their backs on the slave society.
He adds that “he was also struck by the development with a client of individualistic psychology centered on the subject isolated from the context of the melancholic or schizophrenic as autonomous entities of a society that produces it, moving from there to psychology and the study of human relationships where each person maintained their group, understand family, friends and relatives”.
