As of January 1, Antel, OSE and UTE rates will have increases below inflation

As is customary at this time of year, the Executive Power established the adjustments for public rates that will take effect as of January 1, 2023. UTE, OSE and Antel will have increases below inflation.

Silvia Emaldi, president of UTE, announced a 3.5% adjustment and stressed that it is a value “same” as that applied in 2022. For the hierarch, the entity presents “financial strength”, with an increase in demand, energy exports and cost efficiency that they are looking for “with many of the measures” that are being applied, including “smart metering.”

On the communications side, Antel announced that mobile telephony will increase 2% and fixed internet and fixed telephony will increase 2.65%.

President Gabriel Gurméndez indicated that “this average adequacy of 2%, which will take effect as of January 1, 2023, is therefore much lower than the inflation accumulated in the last 24 months, which was 17%,” according to what was stated in the statement circulated by the company.

For its part, OSE will increase its rate by 6.7% “in line with expected inflation,” according to the Economy Minister, Azucena Arbeleche, at a press conference.
