Armed attacks in Guerrero leave two women and four children dead

The second event that left a woman and a minor under 13 years of age murdered was recorded in the municipality of Iguala, in the north of the state, after an attack against live chicken dealers who have been victims of extortion by criminal groups.

According to police reports, the victims – mother and son – were unloading boxes of chickens from a truck outside a warehouse when they were attacked at close range.

The woman lost her life at the scene, the victim of a bullet to the head, while the minor managed to be transferred to a hospital, where he died from the severity of three wounds to the head, chest and left arm.

Regarding the violent events that left four minors murdered, the state government in charge of Morena has not set an official position.

Mexico has experienced a wave of violence in recent years, despite the fact that the number of intentional homicides in Mexico registered an annual reduction of 14.2%, after going from 2,635 in February 2021 to 2,260 last month, 375 fewer cases, according to data provided by the federal government.
