Argentina found the goal and beat Venezuela in the Bombonera

Messi and Armani, the only confirmed starters to receive Venezuela

The technical director of the Argentine national team, Lionel Scaloni, confirmed that captain Lionel Messi “is fine” and ready for tomorrow’s game against Venezuela, at La Bombonera, and that goalkeeper Franco Armani will replace the sanctioned Emiliano “Dibu” Martínez .

At the press conference, the Santa Fe coach announced that Messi has recovered from his flu symptoms and hoped that he could “say goodbye in the best way” in the team’s last game in the country before the World Cup.

The other confirmed starter, before the last training session of the “albiceleste” squad, by Scaloni is the River Plate goalkeeper Franco Armani, who recovers the position he lost before the Copa América with “Dibu” Martínez, sanctioned by the FIFA ruling after the suspended classic against Brazil.

With the return of Messi to the call, Argentina will play against Venezuela and Ecuador, on Tuesday in Guayaquil, the last two dates of the South American Qualifiers for the World Cup in Qatar whose draw will take place next Friday, April 1 in Doha.

“The only thing I want from the draw is that they go straight to the round of 16,” joked Scaloni, who will travel to Qatar to be at the ceremony.

Argentina will face Venezuela tomorrow at 8:30 p.m. in La Bombonera for date 17 of the Qualifiers.
