The directory of Antel signed an agreement with Disney to include Disney+ and Star+ content on its platform, including Uruguayan soccer.
“The agreement will allow Antel’s clients to access Uruguayan football, the most important international football leagues, the main sporting events in the world, as well as movies, series and specials, through Star+ and Disney+, the streaming platforms of The Walt Disney Company,” reported the state company.
Those who are clients “will be able to access the contents of Disney+ and Star+, and Combo+, the commercial offer that makes available the subscription to both platforms independent of each other, through different plans that will be launched in the future”.
After approval by Antel’s board of directors, “the agreement was sent for the mandatory intervention of the Court of Auditors, for subsequent signature by the parties and commercial launch”, barely completing these stages in the coming weeks.
The president of Antel, Gabriel Gurméndez, said in the statement that the agreement “will be of great benefit to Antel’s customers, both mobile telephony and fixed broadband.”
