Through an agreement signed this Wednesday the 14th between Antel and The Walt Disney Company, the state-owned telecommunications company became a distributor, in Uruguay, of the digital broadcasting service for multimedia content (“streaming”) of the US firm. Thanks to this agreement, users of mobile internet and fixed broadband will have access to plans and bonuses to watch sports and entertainment programs.
The event, held at the Telecommunications Tower, was attended by the president of Antel, Gabriel Gurméndez, and authorities and representatives of both companies.
The agreement will allow users to watch national and international sporting events, as well as films and series suitable for all audiences.
Gurméndez explained, in his speech, that the objective is to benefit users with new entertainment programs, under good price conditions.
In addition, he maintained that the agreement was promoted and agreed upon by the entire Antel board of directors, at a time of national growth and new commercial challenges, and that the company made the broadest content plan available to its clients.
