On the afternoon of this Wednesday, July 6, deputies Ana Giselle Rosas of the 4-6 circuit, Rony Araúz (4-3) and Edwin Zúñiga (8-10) resigned from the bench headed by dissident deputies of the Cambio Democrático party (CD) , because they assure that the bench is delivered to the ruling party and not to defend the interests of the Panamanian people.

Through a letter they explain that the deputies of the bench do not represent the opposition, the people or the CD itself.

In addition to the letter, Ana Giselle Rosas expressed in a video that circulated on social networks that she presented her resignation in the company of Zúñiga and Araúz before the General Secretariat of the Assembly and before the leadership of the political party’s caucus.

“We present the resignation because we do not share the way in which the banking system has been behaving, giving support to the PRD (Democratic Revolutionary Party) government,” he said, assuring that the majority of the banking system has disregarded the call to play the role of opposition and give it back to the Panamanian people.

“A bad government cannot be applauded,” he said, assuring that they will start a new legislative representation that will make real opposition and audit this “lousy government.”
