All the cases of covid-19 that were detected that day were of community transmission and in 14 of the 24 entities in the country. The Atures municipality in Amazonas brought together the 68 new infections in that state
The Minister of Communication and Information, Freddy Ñáñez, reported through his social networks the night of Monday, August 15, 2022 on the statistics of the behavior of covid-19 during the day, in which health authorities reported 200 new infections of the disease, all by community transmission.
Amazonas led the list of 14 federal entities of the 24 in total that the country has that reported new patients with covid 19 by reporting 68 new cases, all detected in the Atures municipality.
That state was followed in the national list by Miranda (46), Capital District -Caracas- (26), Guárico (19), Aragua (15), Yaracuy (11), Nueva Esparta (4), Mérida (3), Falcón (3), Portuguesa (1), Sucre (1), Vargas -La Guaira- (1), Bolívar (1) and Lara (1).
The states of Zulia, Táchira, Trujillo, Apure, Barinas, Cojedes, Carabobo, Anzoátegui, Monagas and Delta Amacuro were left out.

The values obtained during the day increase the total number of cases that are reported daily. In this sense, Venezuela, 883 days after the state of alarm began in the country due to the presence of the first cases of covid-19 on March 13, 2020, reports a total of 540,422 cases, of which 531,249 have recovered. which represents a 98% overcoming of the disease.
Currently there are 3,395 active cases of the disease, of which 260 are treated in the public network of hospitals; 175 in the Comprehensive Diagnostic Centers (CDI); 121 in private clinics and 2,839 remain in home isolation or “supervised community care”.
Of the active cases of covid-19, 2,144 are asymptomatic patients; 1,048 are patients with mild respiratory failure; 174 have moderate breathing difficulties and 29 are hospitalized in intensive care units due to their serious condition.
Freddy Ñáñez reported that in the last 24 hours there were no deaths from the virus, so the number of deaths from covid-19 remained stable at 5,778.
