Air Force graduates 29 cadets; president leads the act

The Air Force delivered yesterday the XXI promotion “Pilot Major General Juan Nepomuceno Folch Pérez 2019 – 2022” of the air academy “Pilot Brigadier General Frank A. Féliz Miranda”. 29 cadets and the president graduated Luis Abinader headed the graduation.

The head of state took the oath and handed over the command sabers to the officers.

The graduation of the 29 cadets in Aeronautical Sciences (26 men and 3 women, among them 3 foreigners (Honduras, Panama and El Salvador), began with the surrender of the corresponding military honors to the president.

The Pilot Colonel, Rafael Emilio Ferreras Sanchez, FARD, director of the “Pilot Brigadier General Frank A. Féliz Miranda” academy, stressed that he is completing an arduous training process, while tracing the starting point of their military careers as officers.

He expressed that the rigorous four-year training process that has concluded has allowed the training of new specialists in the areas of aviator pilot, skydiving and aviation technicians.

The new officers, he explained, graduate with a degree in Aeronautical Sciences, a degree awarded by the Insude and accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology.

The reading of the agenda was in charge of the fourth year cadet Juan Carlos Mercado Arias, FARD.

After the change of flags, the graduates entered. Yolanda Santana García, distinguished graduate, was recognized. As an honor graduate she received Edgar Moisés Alvayero Henríquez.

The blessing of the ceremony was in charge of Monsignor Francisco Ozoria AcostaMetropolitan Archbishop of Santo Domingo.
