Adolfo Fábrega warns that government decisions must be taken in the short term to the displeasure of the population

Despite these important decisions, in Fábrega’s opinion, what has led us to this public displeasure is not a short list of requests or actions that the Executive has taken.

The vice president of the Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture of Panama (Cciap), Adolfo Fábrega, indicated that he sees positively the decisions that the Government has taken regarding the austerity plan, the freezing of the price of fuel and the 10 new products of the basic basket.

Despite these important decisions, in Fábrega’s opinion, what has led us to this public displeasure is not a short list of requests or actions that the Executive has taken.

“There are many things that the government should consider doing, among them is the elimination of the tax incentives law for companies in the tourism area, because that is the type of programs that cause displeasure to citizens because they consider that they do not widely benefit the industry and there is no direct fruit for the citizens. This would be like the first step,” he stressed.

He specified that the decisions that remain to be made must be approved in the short term.
