According to the figures of the UCV, the month of June has so far been the one that has registered the most rains, followed by April.
The Department of Hydrometeorological Engineering of the Central University of Venezuela (UCV) issued a bulletin regarding the amount of rain registered in the country during the month of June, qualifying the period as “moderate rainy”; which, according to its measurements with respect to previous years, is close to the average obtained from the comparison of all Junes in 73 years.
He highlighted that the rain recorded in June 2022 was 111.6 millimeters -100 liters per square meter-, a little above the monthly average of 110.5 mm; It also highlights that the accumulated rainfall for the first half of the year was 293.1 mm, a figure close to the average of 299.0 mm that is used.
So far, June has been the wettest month followed by April, which accounted for 106.3 mm of rain. Similarly, they point out that of the 30 days of the month, 21 saw rainfall. The report also indicates that there are 54 days of showers, a figure that is above the accumulated historical average of 43.9 days.

The report of the UCV is known after the passage of the possible cyclone DOS (or “Bonnie) through the country, which generated concern on the part of the Executive and that motivated him to take several precautionary measures such as the suspension of school and university activities throughout the country.
However, as the weather event registered a modification in its trajectory and lost strength when passing through Trinidad and Tobago, its attacks were not as strong as expected and its speed was higher.
