A 41-year-old Venezuelan woman was decapitated during a strange run over in Santiago de Chile. The event happened in the midst of student protests.
The accident occurred at the corner of Nataniel Cox and Alameda streets, in the Metropolitan region. A few meters away there was a protest by students from the José Manuel Carrera National Institute, in the center of the city.
As a result of the protest, the bus took a strange and reckless detour to continue on its way. However, the Venezuelan woman was crushed between the vehicle and a public lighting pole when she tried to cross the corner.
Chilean media clarified that the event occurred on Saturday, June 10, and the Venezuelan died on the spot.
Authorities are investigating the freak accident
After the incident, several passers-by were shocked to realize the serious condition in which the victim was left. Meanwhile, they informed the authorities and emergency agencies to go to the site.
Officials from the Traffic Accident Investigation Section took charge of the case. Now, it is expected that in the next few days they will present the report on the incident and determine the responsibilities, as published by the BioBioChile media.
The authorities may have their eyes on the bus driver, since she could be responsible for the death of the Venezuelan. However, the case has not yet reached the courts and there is no official report on the incident.
