This Saturday, June 18, the National Board of One Uruguay met, a movement that brings together rural producers and seeks to transform itself into a new political party.
The meeting was held at the Rural Association of San José and the president of the Broad Front, Fernando Pereira, and also legislators from the leftist coalition participated in the meeting.
“Today we meet with the “Un Solo Uruguay” movement, within the framework of the activities called the ‘Frente Amplio Listens’. We listen to proposals on different topics, in a very respectful tone”, said Pereira after the meeting.
He added: “There can be no differences, that do not allow us to talk between Uruguayans”, and highlighted the possibility of improving ties towards the future.
New instances of discussion
For its part, from Un Solo Uruguay it was stated that during the meeting with the leadership of the Front they discussed the issues that affect the country.
“We raised again our platform of ideas that have been the foundations of our movement since 2018, such as rejecting centralism and aiming at the reduction of the State. The commitment of the Broad Front remains to analyze the issues and have new instances of discussion to see coincidences in our diagnosis, and the proposal made by Un Solo Uruguay”, reported the ruralist movement.
