An AK-47 rifle magazine was found by military personnel in a rural area of the Pedro Zaraza municipality, Guárico, according to military sources.
The procedure was carried out in the Los Novillos sector, on the road that leads to San Rafael de Laya, in whose hamlets a cell of the Tren del Llano operates that charges a dollar fee to medium-sized producers, according to testimonies.
Officers from Detachment 343 of the Police patrolled the aforementioned sector. Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) as part of a special deployment ordered by the Strategic Operational Command of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (Ceofanb). In the midst of this operation, the military had a confrontation with constituent subjects of the criminal gang Tren del Llano, who fled.
At the site, the military located the AL-47 rifle magazine, eleven 7.62×39 mm caliber cartridges and three motorcycles, according to a report from Detachment 343.
Another procedure was carried out in the Bolívar sector, Piar municipality (Aragua de Maturín), Monagas state, where the military arrested four members of the El Boleta gang, identified as Yulexis Carolina Brito Marcano, Juan Carlos Astudillo Cabello, Ángel José Lefebre Zapata and Francisco Javier Veliz Fermín.
According to a report from GNB Detachment 514, a 12-caliber shotgun, a 9 mm pistol, a magazine and a vest lining were seized from these individuals.
Also in Monagas, but in the Maturín municipality, Petare sector, the military seized war material consisting of a 12-gauge shotgun which was carried by Jhoan José Arias Moreno who was arrested.
And in the La Terronuda sector, Guanarito municipality (Portuguesa), they seized a 12-caliber shotgun and arrested its carrier, Víctor Manuel Bustamante Soto, who, like the other detainees, was handed over to the Public Prosecutor’s Office to be prosecuted for illegal possession of a firearm, according to a report from Detachment 311 of the GNB.
