A 36-year-old man died on Monday night after a car hit him when he tried to cross the Interbalnearia route.
The incident occurred around 10 p.m. at a traffic light intersection near kilometer 36 of the indicated route. The Police reported that the car, a Renault Clio model, was traveling from west to east when it hit the pedestrian who was trying to cross the route from south to north, at the intersection of Los Pinos avenue.
A mobile emergency that moved to the site confirmed the death of the pedestrian. For his part, the driver of the car, a 28-year-old man, was unharmed and tested negative for spirometry.
Since it occurred at a traffic light intersection, there is a recording of the incident and the Atlántida Prosecutor’s Office has already requested the film record. Authorities are investigating the case.
