Special Agents of the Registration and Inspection Directorateunder the General Directorate of Intelligence of SENADcarried out the verification of a company, located in Asunción, that offered to the sale of controlled chemical products, through web pages, without having the inscriptions and authorizations of said institution.

The interveners proceeded to seize Isopropyl alcohol, a product found in Table III of precursors and chemical substances under national control according to Decree No. 5282/2021.

Faults in which the company incurred

The procedure is based on what is established by Law 6.902/22, which modifies several articles of Law 1.340/88.

Specifically, the following offenses were incurred:

Article 2

“The natural or legal person who habitually or occasionally trades, sells, supplies, transports, stores, imports, exports, manufactures, industrializes, transforms, extracts, refines, possesses or distributes narcotic substances and dangerous drugs, referred to in this law, and its derivatives: salts, preparations and pharmaceutical specialties or any product or substance that can be used in their preparation, transformation or industrialization, must be registered before the start of their activities with the National Registry of Narcotic Substances and Dangerous Drugs of the National Directorate of Sanitary Surveillance (DINAVISA), of the Ministry of Health, who will issue a certificate of authorization.

After each registration or re-registration, the natural or legal persons registered,They must request the inspection before the SENAD, who, after carrying out his task, will issue a control certificate.

Both the constancy of authorization and control They must be displayed in a place visible to the public.

The Failure to comply with the inspection requirement will be sanctioned with fines. of up to one hundred minimum daily wages for various unspecified activities, and in case of recidivism, the disqualification to operate for a period of one year will be provided, without prejudice to criminal provisions.

The inspections will be carried out at least once a year by SENAD.

The re-registration must be made within the first ninety days of each year. These registrations, re-registrations and inspections will have a registry character”.

Article 3.” Only the natural or legal person registered and supervised, In accordance with the previous article, you may carry out the activities provided for in this law.
