A 23-year-old woman was sentenced to two years in house arrest for sexually abusing a child in Paysandu.
The event occurred in 2021, when the young woman was 21 and the victim was 12. The mother of the minor reported to the Paysandú Police that her son, who went to a sleepover at a friend’s house with other children, was sexually abused from the nanny who was there.
According to the mother, the babysitter “had sent her photos in her underwear and without them” through a social network to the 12-year-old boy. She asked her son how he got them and he replied that the young woman asked for his cell phone number, according to Telemundo and confirmed The Observer with the police part.
Likewise, the mother kept asking questions and the boy told her that on the night of the sleepover, while the children were sleeping, the young woman called the child “with other pretexts”. He left the room and she abused him.
In this way, after two years, the woman was sentenced —through an abbreviated process— to house arrest for two years. Besides, she lost parental authority and was disqualified from practicing in the educational, health, and all those areas that involve direct contact with childrenadolescents, elderly people in a situation of dependency and people with disabilities for ten years.
