Hundreds of members of the LGBT community paraded this Sunday along the Malecón in Santo Domingo, in celebration of the International Gay Pride Day, which is celebrated every June 28, an occasion used by the Volunteers to demand greater social equality in the country.
In full view of everyone, once again the LGBT community paraded on the Malecón in Santo Domingo.
They showed their colorful way of being and were admired by the spectators who left their chores to witness the caravan.
The LGBT Volunteers chaired by Yimbert Feliz Telemin, demanded greater social equality through public policies.
The LGBT community has more than 400,000 members, according to the 2010 census.
From 2006 to date, more than 49 homosexuals and trans have been murdered, without finding Justice according to Feliz Telemin.
The celebration culminates tonight in the Eugenio María de Hostos park, with the presentation of the urban artist known as La Perversa and other exponents of the genre.
