The rupture of a water main in the north of the city of Rio de Janeiro yesterday (7) left 41 districts of the capital without water. The pipe burst in Tomás Coelho, causing flooding in the surroundings.
The Águas do Rio concessionaire, responsible for supplying the region, reported that it was repairing a leak at the site, but due to the state of the pipe, which is very old, it ended up breaking.
Right now, teams are replacing the pipe in the stretch that burst. The completion of the work is scheduled for 22:00 today (8). The normalization of the supply must occur until the end of the night of Sunday (10).
