In the Yellow House, headquarters of the Chancellery of the Republic, the 51 years of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria were celebrated.

This was indicated by the Ministry of Popular Power for Foreign Relations on its Twitter account @CancilleriaVE. “Act on the occasion of the celebration of the 51st anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations Venezuela-Algeria, held at the Casa Amarilla Antonio José de Sucre, in Caracas.”

The act was headed by Foreign Minister Carlos Farías, who ratified the ties between both nations.

Venezuela and Algeria began to establish diplomatic ties in 1971 with the exchange of notes between their representatives at the United Nations Organization in New York.

Since 2000, diplomatic relations have been invigorated with the development of a set of official work visits, indicates the Vice Presidency of the Republic on its website.

Recently, the Venezuelan head of state, Nicolás Maduro, visited Algeria, where he ratified the cooperation between both nations.
