The crowd gathered in the Zócalo dazzled them and led them to various angers and doubts. They were filled with uncertainty for a long time about what was happening at that festive gathering. They were slow to react and, to restart their always pale reflective march, they took a deep breath. They had to dig some of their usual trenches before going into open disqualification. Several momentary itches stopped his due criticism. They could not find the grip they required to launch themselves to cleanse their bewilderment and stupor from what was seen and heard. But, after several minutes of spasms, hardly mastered, they entered fully into the usual fray: a long enumeration of the errors, absences, contradictions or flagrant lies that, over the past three years, were weaving together like clumsy government ailments. . The defense of their beliefs and interests serves as a formidable spur to wage what they consider to be the battle in defense of the institutions and the incipient democracy achieved. Their long training, first as enthusiastic supporters of the hub, unjust and decrepit established system, and later as bitter critics of what scares them, provided them with the blackboard of their shared insights. And there they have remained as petrified, but with the shield of a long chain of terrible condemnations and coming misfortunes of their own invention. There will be no recomposition or truce possible. It will go to the very end without remedies or cure, healing the fears that the rabid populace instills in them.
