The inspector general of the Army of the Dominican Republic, Brigadier General Ángel Camacho Ubiera, supervised the actions of the soldiers participating in the mixed operation launched by President Luis Abinader, to deal with the crime wave that plagues the country.

He said that in patrolling, they implement technology such as video surveillance cameras arranged by the Ministry of Defense through the C5i, to record the actions of the patrolmen who joined the fight against crime.

“With these recording cameras, the C5i is monitoring the actions of the members of the Ministry of Defense who participate in this operation ordered by the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader,” Camacho assured.

He also added, “we have been designated to supervise all the actions of this operation launched by President Luis Abinader and we are supervising and executing everything that was planned according to the guidelines of the Minister of Defense, Carlos Luciano Díaz Morfa.”

He indicated that the units of the Joint Command of the Armed Forces, members of the Army, the Air Force and the Navy participate in the mixed patrolling, whose purpose is to guard the streets to provide protection to citizens.

He pointed out that the soldiers have precise instructions to help reduce crime levels in the country, given the rise in violence and crime.
